Sarah, a 34-year-old accountant, spent upwards of 9 hours a day sitting at her desk. Over three years, this led to:
Tight hip flexors and a weak core made sitting and standing uncomfortable.
Low energy led to a reliance on caffeine, which disrupted her sleep, creating a cycle of fatigue.
A former college athlete, Sarah felt she had "lost" her fitness and felt intimidated by the idea of returning to a gym.

The goal wasn't to run 26.2 miles on day one. We focused on a three-phase "re-entry" plan to prime her body for impact.
A "movement snack" every hour (30 seconds of air squats or lunges). Focused on the "Big 3" exercises to protect her spine.
Alternating 60 seconds of jogging with 90 seconds of walking. The rule was to move 3 days a week, regardless of pace.
Increasing her weekly distance by no more than 10% to prevent shin splints. One day of swimming or cycling to build cardio without joint impact.

You can technically have a "healthy" weight or BMI (Body Mass Index) and still be at risk for health issues. This is often called "Normal Weight Obesity."
